As a professional photographer and avid adventurer, I have a deep appreciation for Greece's natural wonders and ancient sites. During my recent romantic escape at Hotel Sophia, I was truly captivated by the picturesque setting right on the port of Hydra. The hotel's charming old-world architecture and furnishings, coupled with the absence of motorized traffic noise, provided a serene and authentic experience. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, even providing a fan instead of air conditioning to enjoy the perfect Hydra breeze. The homemade traditional Greek breakfast was a delightful treat, especially the delicious Rizogolo. Watching the daily activities on the harbor from our balcony was a highlight, and the convenience of being in the center of the port made exploring Hydra a breeze. I highly recommend this family-run hotel to anyone seeking a charming and welcoming stay in Hydra.
